Event Description

There’s no better way to celebrate Independence Day weekend than at America’s Favorite Car Show! Join us for one of the most popular Goodguys parties of the year at the 30th Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals presented by BASF. This “Mid-Summer Classic” showcases 1987 & older hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks, and classics throughout the historic Iowa State Fairgrounds. You won’t want to miss the 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday night, Swap Meet, Cars 4 Sale Corral, Vendor Midway, FREE Kids Zone, Model Car Show, Live Entertainment, Goodgals Gallery, Nitro Thunderfest Vintage Dragster Exhibition, Goodguys AutoCross timed racing competition featuring the Speedway Motors “Duel in Des Moines” Shootout— and so much more! Cruise in on Sunday morning for our All American Sunday celebration where we open up to late model American made or powered cars featuring an All American Sunday AutoCross Shootout. And stick around and Join us when we congratulate the weekends top award winners and present the Builder’s Choice Top 10 selected by Lakeside Rods & Rides at our Sunday Awards Ceremony.
